About CVCrisp
CVCrisp is a resume checker and builder run from Mumbai, India. This page explains who stands behind it, how the score is actually calculated, what happens to the file you upload, and why we charge for one thing and not the others.
What this is
Most people applying for jobs in India are rejected by software before a person reads anything. Applicant tracking systems parse a resume into fields, and a layout that looks impressive in Word frequently comes out of that parse scrambled or half-empty. CVCrisp exists to show you that gap before an employer sees it: upload the resume you already have, get a score out of 100 with the specific points you are losing, and rebuild it in a format that parses cleanly.
How the score is calculated
The score is not a black box and it is not an opinion. It is a fixed 100-point rubric, applied the same way every time, across eight areas:

What happens to your resume file
This is the part most tools are vague about, so here it is plainly:
- The file itself is never uploaded to us. PDF and Word files are opened and read inside your own browser.
- The extracted text is sent to our server once, and forwarded to an AI provider so it can be organised into structured fields. It is processed and returned — not stored in any database by us.
- Your resume content is saved only in your own browser, in local storage on your device. Clearing your browser's site data erases it.
- We never see your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay.
- No advertising, no third-party tracking cookies, and your data is never sold or shared for advertising.
The full detail is in the privacy policy, which is written to be read rather than to be survived.
Why scoring is free and downloading is not
Building, previewing and scoring cost you nothing, with no account and no trial. You pay once — ₹199 in India, $9.99 elsewhere — only when you want the watermark-free PDF or the editable DOCX. There is no subscription, nothing recurring, and no card stored.
We chose a one-time price over a monthly plan deliberately. A job search is a burst of work over a few weeks, not an ongoing subscription need, and a fresher should not be paying a monthly fee to apply for a job. The trade-off is that we have to be genuinely useful before you pay, which is why the score and the full point-by-point breakdown come first.

What we will not tell you
A resume site can say almost anything, so it is worth being clear about the limits of what we claim:
- We do not promise interviews or jobs. A well-parsed resume removes a filter; it does not create demand for your profile.
- We do not name which ATS a specific company runs. The sites that state this confidently contradict each other, which means they are copying rather than verifying. Our company pages say so openly instead of guessing.
- We do not quote eligibility percentages or cut-offs we have not verified, because a wrong number affects a real decision someone is making.
- We do not publish fake reviews, ratings or user counts. If you do not see a number on this site, it is because we could not stand behind it.
Who it is built for
Mostly people applying for jobs in India: freshers with no work history yet, ITI and diploma holders whose trade certificate matters more than their layout, candidates asked for a bio-data rather than a resume, and experienced people whose resume has quietly stopped being read. The written guides reflect that — they are organised by job role, by ITI trade, by employer and by biodata format, and each one carries a full worked sample rather than a list of tips.
