Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

This policy explains what information CVCrisp ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use cvcrisp.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what rights you have. CVCrisp is a sole proprietorship based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

We have tried to describe this in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a resume contains genuinely personal information and you deserve a clear answer about where it goes.

1. The short version

2. Information we handle

a) Resume content

When you upload a PDF or Word file, the file is read locally by your browser. The text extracted from it — which typically includes your name, email address, phone number, location, work history, education and skills — is then sent to our server for structuring, and from there to our AI processing provider (see section 3).

This text is processed in memory to produce structured fields and returned to your browser. We do not write it to a database and we do not retain a copy. Once the request finishes, we no longer hold it.

If you choose to start from scratch or paste content manually, the same applies to whatever you type.

b) Job descriptions you paste

If you paste a job advertisement for keyword matching, that text is analysed entirely within your browser. It is not sent to us.

c) Payment information

Card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs and net-banking credentials are entered on Razorpay's secure interface and never pass through or reach CVCrisp. We do not store them and cannot see them.

After a payment completes, Razorpay returns transaction details to us. We retain a record of:

We keep this to verify your purchase, restore access if you lose it, handle refunds, and meet accounting and tax obligations.

d) Technical information

WhatWhy
IP addressTo count requests per address and stop automated abuse of our AI parsing quota. Used as a short-lived counter; not used to build a profile of you.
Country codeProvided by our hosting provider's edge network so we can show prices in a sensible currency. We derive the country only — not your city or precise location.
Browser and device informationStandard request data recorded in server logs, used for security and debugging.

3. Who else processes your data

We use a small number of established providers. Some are located outside India, which means your data may be transferred and processed abroad.

ProviderPurposeLocation
Razorpay Software Private LimitedPayment processing. Collects and handles your payment credentials directly.India
Vercel Inc.Website hosting and serverless functions. Handles requests and keeps standard access logs.United States / global edge network
Groq, Inc.AI language processing used to organise your extracted resume text into structured fields.United States

Each provider is bound by its own privacy terms and processes data on our instructions for the purpose described. We do not authorise any of them to use your resume content for their own marketing.

If the AI provider is unavailable, our application falls back to a parser that runs entirely in your browser, and no resume text leaves your device in that case.

4. Data stored on your own device

We use your browser's local storage — not tracking cookies — to hold:

This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us except where needed to verify a licence. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data — note that this will also delete your saved resume and your licence.

5. How long we keep things

6. Security

All traffic to and from the site is encrypted using HTTPS. Payment verification is performed on our server using cryptographic signatures, and purchase licences are cryptographically signed so they cannot be forged. Access to our systems and payment dashboard is restricted.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will act promptly and notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law, you may:

To exercise any of these, email CvcrispBusiness@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 7 working days and to resolve within 30 days.

8. Grievance Officer

9. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The current version is always published here with its "Last updated" date. Where changes are significant, we will make that clear on the site.
