About the Employability Skills paper
Employability Skills is a compulsory subject for every CTS trade. It replaced Social Studies in ITI courses from the August 2012 session, and DGT revised it with NSDC in 2023: 120 hours in the first year of every one- and two-year trade, 60 hours for six-month trades, and a 60-hour advanced module in the second year of two-year trades.
In the CBT, DGT's July 2025 exam guidelines set Employability Skills at 25 questions for 50 marks, with a minimum pass of 33%. This mock gives you 50 questions to cover all 12 modules, or a random 25 to practise at exam length. The pass line shown on your result uses the same 33%.
The questions were written for this page from the syllabus's learning outcomes; none is copied from NIMI or a question bank. After the test, revise your weakest modules in the NIMI Employability Skills book on Bharat Skills.
Second-year trainee? Take the Employability Skills 2nd year mock test. Also practise Workshop Calculation and Science and Engineering Drawing. Next steps after the exam: work out your ITI percentage, check the ITI passing marks, prepare for the ITI trade interview, and write your ITI resume.
