Mumbai now has two airports: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, and Navi Mumbai International Airport, which started commercial flights on 25 December 2025. Both need ground staff, cargo hands, retail and food staff, housekeeping and more, and many of these roles take 12th pass freshers. Airport jobs are also among the most faked. Who actually hires at an airport
Very few airport workers are employed by "the airport". Most work for one of these, and each hires on its own careers page or through staffing companies:

Eligibility: what the postings ask
Ground staff and customer service postings commonly ask for 12th pass or a graduate, clear spoken English and Hindi, and a neat appearance; some prefer an aviation or hospitality course. Loader and cargo roles ask for fitness and are often 10th or 12th pass. Shifts rotate, including nights, because airports run early and late.
The airport entry pass
Anyone who works inside the airport's secure areas needs an Aerodrome Entry Permit (AEP), issued under the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) after a background check by the police or intelligence agencies. Your employer applies for it; you give your documents and address details. Expect the pass to take time, and know that a criminal case can block it.
Fake airport job offers
Airports Authority of India (AAI) has repeatedly warned that people use its name and logo to sell fake jobs. AAI publishes its own vacancies only on aai.aero and in Employment News and newspapers, takes only the application fee at online registration, and has not authorised any agency to recruit for it.
For private airport jobs the same rule holds: no airline or ground-handling company sells a job. Paying for an "aviation course" does not buy you a job either; ask which employer has hired that institute's students before you pay any fee.
