Airport jobs with ITI: what to check
Technician and maintenance roles at the airport are posted by the companies that do the work: the airport operator, airlines, ground-handling firms and aircraft maintenance companies. They post them on their own careers websites and on the major job portals.
"Airport job" is also one of the most common fake offers. The employer arranges your airport entry pass and police verification after you are hired; nobody legitimate sells a pass, a uniform or a "confirmed airport job" for a fee. If an agent asks for money for any of these, walk away.
Railway and other apprenticeships
Central Railway engages Act Apprentices with an ITI certificate across clusters that include Mumbai. Its Railway Recruitment Cell takes applications online only, at rrccr.com; its 2025 notification (RRC/CR/AA/2025) invited applications for 2,418 slots across its clusters. Watch that site for the next notice rather than agents who claim to have one.
Private and public companies take apprentices through the national portal, apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. A one-year apprenticeship with a known company is often the shortest route to a permanent shop-floor job, and it pays a stipend set by law.
Before you travel for an interview
Check the posting date, and find the employer's own website or office address. Call the number given if you can. Plants in Taloja or Rabale can be two hours from the western suburbs, so confirm the interview is still on before you leave.
Never pay a fee to get the interview or the job, and never hand over original certificates. Show originals for checking and leave photocopies.

- ITI certificate and marksheets: originals to show, photocopies to leave
- NAC (apprenticeship certificate), if you have done an apprenticeship
- 10th marksheet, and 12th if you have it
- Aadhaar: show the original, give a photocopy only to the employer's HR
- Two passport-size photos
For the practical test
- Be ready to name and use the basic tools of your trade
- Revise the safety rules you learned in the workshop; most practical rounds start with them
- Wear safety shoes if you have them, and clothes you can work in
