Warehouse Jobs in Bhiwandi for Freshers: Roles, Areas and How to Apply
Bhiwandi, in Thane district, is one of the biggest warehousing areas around Mumbai: e-commerce, courier, FMCG, pharma and retail companies store and ship goods from parks along the Mumbai-Nashik highway. Many of these jobs take 10th or 12th pass freshers. This page covers the roles, where the warehouses are, what a shift looks like, how to read the pay offer, and how to avoid the fake ones.

The roles, and which one suits you
Warehouse postings use a handful of job titles. The titles below are the ones you will see most; eligibility is set by each posting, so read its line on education before you go.
| Role | What you do | Usually asks for |
|---|---|---|
| Picker / packer | Pick items for orders with a hand scanner, pack and label them | 10th or 12th pass, able to stand and walk through the shift |
| Loader / unloader | Load and unload trucks, stack and move cartons | Physical fitness; often men only, as the posting says |
| Sorting / scanning associate | Scan parcels and sort them by route or pin code | 10th or 12th pass, basic phone or scanner use |
| Inventory or MIS executive | Stock counts, records, Excel reports, matching system and shelf | 12th pass or graduate with Excel |
| Forklift or reach-truck operator | Move pallets with a forklift | Training on the machine and the licence the employer asks for |
| Warehouse supervisor | Runs a shift team and its targets | Experience on the floor, often 2+ years |
Where the warehouses are
Most warehousing sits outside Bhiwandi town, in villages and logistics parks along the Mumbai-Nashik highway and the roads off it. Postings often name the village or the park instead of "Bhiwandi", so search with these names too: Vadpe, Padgha, Kalher, Purna, Rahnal, Dapode, Anjur Phata, Sonale, Mankoli and Owali.
Check the commute for the shift you will work. People travel from Thane, Kalyan and Bhiwandi town by bus, shared auto or a company bus where one runs. Ask at the interview whether there is transport, from where, and for which shifts.
Shifts and the work
Warehouses run in shifts, often rotational, and six days a week is common. The work is on your feet for most of the shift, with targets for items picked or parcels scanned. Ask what the target is and what happens if it is missed.
Hiring goes up before big sale seasons and festivals, when e-commerce and courier warehouses take extra staff. Some of those jobs are for a fixed period, so ask whether the role is temporary or continues after the season.
Read the pay offer: in-hand, PF and ESIC
Postings quote a monthly figure; what reaches your bank can be less. Ask for the in-hand amount.
If your gross pay is ₹21,000 a month or less, you are covered by ESIC (medical insurance), and 0.75% of your gross wage is deducted as your share. PF (provident fund) is usually 12% of your basic pay from your side, with the employer adding its own share. Both are savings and cover for you, not a loss, but they explain why the in-hand is lower.
Many warehouse jobs are on the payroll of a staffing company, not the warehouse brand itself. That is normal. Ask whose payroll you will be on and get it in the offer letter.
Fake offers
A real warehouse job never asks you to pay for the job, a uniform deposit, an ID card or "training". If a posting names a big brand, confirm with the staffing company and the brand that the opening is real before you travel.

Common questions
Can a 10th pass get a warehouse job in Bhiwandi?
Yes. Picker, packer, loader and sorting roles often ask for 10th or 12th pass. Each posting gives its own eligibility, so read it before you go.
Are there warehouse jobs in Bhiwandi for women?
Yes. Some postings are open to all, and some are for women only, usually for picking and packing on day shifts. The posting says which.
Why is my in-hand pay less than the posted salary?
PF and, if your gross is ₹21,000 a month or less, ESIC are deducted from your wage. Ask for the in-hand figure before you accept.
Do I have to pay to get a warehouse job?
No. Never pay for a job, a uniform, an ID card or training. Any request for money is a red flag.
