Accenture hires in India across technology delivery, consulting and operations, at both fresher and lateral levels. What runs through all of them is a client-project framing — you are staffed onto an engagement, for a defined scope, with a deliverable. Resumes that describe work in that shape read as immediately staffable.
What a Accenture resume should lead with
Problem, what you did, what changed. Even an academic project can be written this way — the department had a manual process, you built the thing that replaced it, the effort dropped. That framing is what distinguishes a consulting-adjacent resume.
Banking, insurance, retail, healthcare, telecom. Staffing decisions are made by domain as much as by skill, and a candidate with any exposure to the client's industry is easier to place.
Anyone you presented to, gathered requirements from, or coordinated with counts — faculty, a client during an internship, another team. Consulting work is largely other people, and evidence of handling them is unusually valuable on a fresher page.
Where you have them, list them with year. Platform certifications are used in staffing conversations because they map directly onto what engagements ask for.

What to get right
- Write every bullet as problem, action, outcome. Consulting-adjacent screening is looking for whether you think in engagements, and the sentence shape gives that away immediately.
- Name the industry domain you have touched, even briefly. Staffing runs on domain fit and it is the fastest way to look placeable.
- Include anyone you had to convince or coordinate with. Stakeholder handling is the core of the job and almost no fresher resume offers evidence of it.
- List cloud or platform certifications with the year. They map directly onto what engagements request, which makes them easy to act on.
- Avoid consulting jargon you cannot defend. "Drove transformation" invites a question you will not enjoy answering.

Common questions
How is an Accenture resume different from a pure IT services resume?
The framing. Technology skills still matter, but work is described as engagements — a client or user with a problem, what you did, and what changed as a result. A resume that lists technologies without outcomes reads as delivery-only and is harder to staff onto consulting-adjacent work.
Does domain experience matter for an entry-level role?
More than most freshers expect. Banking, insurance, retail, healthcare and telecom each have their own vocabulary, and any genuine exposure — an internship, a project, a case competition — makes you easier to place on an engagement in that industry.
What if all my work is academic?
Academic work fits the framing perfectly well. A department had a manual process, you built what replaced it, the effort dropped measurably. Write it with the same problem, action and outcome shape you would use for client work, and it reads as real.
Are cloud certifications useful here?
Yes, particularly the platform ones, because engagements request them by name. List the certificate and the year completed. Pair them with something you built using that platform, since a certification with no application behind it is weaker than it looks.
