Tech Mahindra Resume Format — Example for India Roles
Tech Mahindra grew out of telecom, and that heritage still shapes what it hires for. Domain exposure to networks, telecom operations or communications clients reads more strongly here than at a generalist IT recruiter.

Tech Mahindra spans IT services and a substantial business process services arm, with a client base weighted toward telecom and communications alongside banking, manufacturing and healthcare. That mix means two quite different hiring tracks — engineering and application work on one side, voice and back-office process roles on the other — and applicants routinely write for the wrong one.
What a Tech Mahindra resume should lead with
Information technology roles and business process services roles are separate tracks with separate interviews and separate pay structures. Name the one you are applying to in the first two lines. Applicants who leave it open get routed to whichever has more openings.
Any project, internship or coursework touching networks, protocols, telecom operations or communications infrastructure is worth surfacing. The client base makes this domain knowledge directly useful rather than merely interesting.
Average handling time, quality score, resolution rate, tickets handled per day. Business process hiring is measured weekly on these, so a resume carrying them reads as someone who already understands the job.
Single column, one page for freshers, standard headings, no photo. Every large services recruiter screens at volume and the parsing constraints do not change between them.

- Built a Python network traffic analysis tool that classified 10,000 sample packets by protocol for a final-year project
- Configured routing, switching and VLANs across 20 lab exercises during a networking certification
- Completed a 6-week industrial training with a telecom equipment vendor, producing a working configuration guide
- Led a 4-member project team through design, build and demonstration to a faculty panel
What to get right
- Declare IT or business process services in your summary. These are separate tracks and an undeclared resume is routed by someone else's convenience rather than your intent.
- Surface any telecom, networking or communications exposure, even from coursework. The client base makes it directly relevant in a way it is not at a generalist recruiter.
- For process roles, put the operational metrics on the page — handling time, quality score, tickets per day. They are what the work is measured on.
- Name certifications with the year. Networking and cloud certifications are used as filters on the infrastructure side of the business.
- Keep one page as a fresher. Volume screening here works the same way it does at every large Indian services employer.

Common questions
What is the difference between IT and BPS roles at Tech Mahindra?
IT roles cover application development, engineering and infrastructure work. Business process services covers voice and back-office operations delivered for clients. They interview differently, pay differently and look for different evidence, so naming your track in the summary matters more here than at a company with one hiring profile.
Does telecom knowledge actually help?
Yes, more than at a generalist IT recruiter, because a large share of the client base is in communications. Networking coursework, protocol-level project work, a telecom internship or a networking certification are all worth putting where a screener will see them early.
What should a BPS applicant put on the resume?
Operational metrics and language ability. Average handling time, quality audit scores, tickets or calls handled per day, and every language you can work in with an honest fluency level. Process hiring in India frequently shortlists on language coverage.
Is a photo needed on the resume?
For standard IT and process applications, no — keep the document plain and single column. The exception is a walk-in drive whose notice specifically asks for printed copies with a photograph affixed, in which case follow that notice literally.
