Lab Technician Biodata Format: DMLT and BMLT, for Hospital and Pathology Lab Jobs
A hospital, pathology lab or diagnostic centre reads a lab technician's biodata for the qualification first (DMLT, BMLT or a certificate course), then the training or work in a real lab, then the tests and analysers you have handled. This format puts those at the top, where a general job biodata puts age and address.

When this format is the right one
Use it for a lab technician, lab assistant, medical laboratory technologist, phlebotomist or sample-collection post at a hospital, a pathology lab, a diagnostic chain, a blood bank or a government health post that asks for a biodata.
Copy-ready lines for a lab technician biodata
Copy the lines that are true for you, replace every [bracket] and delete the rest. Labs ask about every test you list, so write only what you have done yourself.
Qualification and registration lines. Put them under your name
Write the course name and institute exactly as your certificate shows. If your state has a paramedical council and you are registered, add the number; if not, leave the line out.
- DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology), [institute], [board / university], [year]: [XX]%
- BMLT / B.Sc MLT, [college], [university], [year]: [XX]%
- [State] paramedical council registration No. [number] [only if you hold one]

Write the course exactly (DMLT, BMLT or B.Sc MLT) with the institute, board or university and year, then the internship or training: which hospital or lab, and for how long. For a fresher, the internship is the experience entry.
"Worked in the lab" says little. "CBC on a 3-part hematology analyser, sugar and LFT on a semi-auto biochemistry analyser, urine microscopy" tells the lab where it can put you on day one.
Labs run on daily quality control, calibration records and correct biomedical waste segregation. One line showing you follow the lab's SOP for these reads as reliability.
Some states register paramedical staff through a council. If you are registered, write the number; it is often checked at the document stage. Do not write "applied" without a date.
Copies of your DMLT or BMLT marksheets and certificate, internship certificate, any registration certificate, 10th and 12th marksheets, Aadhaar (masked if you prefer), and two photographs.
What to get right
- Put the course, institute, year and internship directly under your name.
- List the tests and analysers you have handled yourself.
- Add one line on QC records and biomedical waste segregation.
- Write a registration number only if you hold one.
- For a fresher, write the internship like a job: hospital, months and work.

Common questions
What should a lab technician biodata contain?
Post applied for, name, age, contact, the DMLT or BMLT line with institute and year, registration if any, internship or work in a lab, tests and analysers handled, education, documents enclosed and a signed declaration.
I am a DMLT fresher. What do I write under experience?
Your internship or training: the hospital or lab, the months, and the tests you did yourself: sample collection, CBC, sugar, urine routine. Do not leave the section empty.
Biodata or resume for a lab technician job?
Government hospitals and many private labs ask for a biodata; chains hiring online usually want a resume: the lab technician resume page covers that. The qualification and test lines go near the top of both.
Do I need to write my registration number?
Only if your state registers paramedical staff and you are registered. Write it exactly as on the certificate; leave the line out if you have none.
